Michael E. Manning, M.D.

Dr. Manning was born and raised in the Phoenix metro area.  He graduated with honors from Baylor University in Waco, Texas.  Dr. Manning then attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. Dr. Manning pursued his Internal Medicine residency in Phoenix at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center.  He then completed an Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Fellowship at Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation in La Jolla, California.

Dr. Manning is a Fellow in the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.  Dr. Manning is very active in many national, regional and state societies and is involved with research to continually improve the treatments of allergies and asthma.  He is past president of the Western Society of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and lectures frequently to physicians in Arizona and regionally.

Dr. Manning was very pleased to join Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Associates, since he received allergy injections as a youngster at AAI.

Dr. Manning and his wife Jennifer have four children.  He spends time assisting with youth athletics, often coaching.

Aaron Davis, M.D.

Diplomate American Board of Internal Medicine Board Eligible American Board of Allergy and Immunology

Dr. Davis was born and raised in Richland, Washington.  He graduated from Carroll College in Helena, Montana.  Dr. Davis then completed medical school at St. Louis University Medical School.  He moved to Arizona for his internal medicine residency at Mayo Clinic Scottsdale and an Allergy Immunology Fellowship at Henry Ford Health Systems Michigan.  Dr. Davis is a board certified allergist/immunologist and board certified in internal medicine.

Dr. Davis is a member of American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology, American College of Allergy Asthma and Immunology, American Medical Association, Maricopa Medical Society and Arizona Allergy and Asthma Society. He joined Allergy Asthma and Immunology in 2005.

Dr. Davis is also involved in clinical research of allergies and asthma at Medical Research of Arizona in the south Scottsdale clinic.  Since joining Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, he has participated in volunteer work such as Asthma Screening Clinics, Asthma Walk and has been elected the Secretary/Treasurer of Arizona Allergy and Asthma Society.

Dr. Davis enjoys outdoor activities and traveling.

Julie Wendt, M.D.

Dr. Wendt was born and raised in Chicagoland. She graduated from University of Illinois with degrees in Biochemistry and Biology Honors and attended graduate school at Vanderbilt University. She completed an Internal Medicine Residency and Allergy & Immunology Fellowship at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.

She is dual board-certified in Internal Medicine and Allergy & Immunology. She has been very active in immunology and oncology clinical research.

She recently moved to Arizona to escape Illinois winters and has been very pleased thus far. She has an allergic husband, two allergic children, and one very allergenic Daschund.

She spends her free time volunteering at her church and in the local school district. Her hobbies are wine-making, scuba-diving and writing.

She is an American Medical Association Physician Recognition Award recipient and a Consumer's Choice Award recipient.

Jean A. Nelson, FNP-C

RN, MSN Certified - ANCC Member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners

Jean A. Nelson is a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) that has been associated with Allergy, Asthma and Immunology for the past 28 years.  She received her Associate Degree in Science and Nursing at Iowa Central Community College and her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Arizona State University.

Jean completed her Family Nurse Practitioner curriculum along with her Masters of Science degree.  Jean graduated from ASU Suma cum Laude and was awarded the Graduate Scholar of the Year 2003 by the ASU College of Nursing.  Jean's applied research project assessed the management of the adult asthmatic through support and education.

Jean's presence offers patients an additional choice of clinicians for their health care management.  As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Jean serves as a primary care provider within the clinic.  She gathers complete histories, performs physical exams, orders and interprets diagnostic tests, prescribes medication and collaborates with each patient to formulate a treatment plan to optimize well-being.

Jean is a strong patient advocate who focuses on health promotion and offers ongoing patient education to maximize each patient's ability to make informed health care decisions. She enjoys lecturing on the latest advancements in both allergies and asthma. She and Dr. Manning are proud to have been selected as Medical Co-Chairmen for the 2011 and 2012 "Fight for Air" walks sponsored by the American Lung Association.

Jean has three children and is an accomplished pianist and organist.

Esther Raley

Business Administrator

Esther is proud to have been associated with Allergy, Asthma & Immunology for the past 21 years.  As the Business Administrator, Esther is responsible for human resources, employee management and the fiscal operations for all three office locations. She actively pursues personnel development and ensures compliance with all regulatory and professional standards.  She continually focuses on improving office efficiency and works to promote patient satisfaction.  Esther is a vital part of the management team and along with the clinicians assists in strategic planning to prioritize the long term objectives of the organization.
